Dolmabahce Palace (Dolmabahce Sarayi)

The Dolmabahce Palace is a notable palace that can be found in the famous Besiktas area on the European side of the Bosphorus. In the past the area of the Dolmabahce Palace was used as an administrative center of the Ottoman Empire. Today it still attracts the interest of people from all over the world with its architectural design and interior.

The Dolmabahce Palace was built during the 19th century as its architectural design is a combination of Rococo, Baroque and neoclassical styles. And all this inspired by the unique style of the original Ottoman architecture. The Palace consists of three parts and there is also a magnificent view over the Bosphorus.

Being in Istanbul you shouldn't miss to pay a visit to the Dolmabahce Palace as it also housed the notable Turkish leader Ataturk who spent the last days of his medical treatment in the palace.

The Dolmabahce Palace is opened daily from 9. 00 - 15 00 except Monday and Thursday

The entrance fee is 20 TL (Around 8 Euro)
